Google dumps Windows internally

"Many people have been moved away from [Windows] PCs, mostly towards Mac OS, following the China hacking attacks," revealed a Google employee to the Financial Times.
Employees of Google who spoke to Financial Times revealed that Google is pulling the plug on the internal use of Windows computers. In fact, it is reported that the company's internal policy requires permission to use Microsoft's OS. It is reported that Apple's Mac OS X or Linux systems are the options offered to the new hires. However, senior level clearance is required for those who wish to stay on Windows on the desktop.
Mac OS X is a very popular OS within the company, and it's likely that many will make the shift from Windows to Apple's OS.
"We're not doing any more Windows. It is a security effort," said one Google employee.
This move comes after the infamous hack attack carried out against Google's Chinese operation earlier this year.
According to CNET News, Apple included software to protect Mac computers from a Trojan horse. In its code is an update to the XProtect.plist file, which contains signatures of malware written to target the Mac. The signatures now detect malware dubbed "HellRTS," maintains Sophos
